This will help you reach places in yourself that are blocked by a lifetime of patterns, beliefs and conditioning. You will move your body to the rhythm of healing music, breathe yourself to freedom, nourish your system with incredibly tasty and nourishing food, explore The Netherlands’ typical country side and heal your nervous system from old traumas.

What to expect.

A fungi ceremony

Working with mind-altering fungi within the right set and setting can be absolutely life-changing. The core of this retreat will consist of a guided fungi ceremony. All the beautiful somatic, trauma-informed and self-inquiry practices offered during these 5 days of healing will serve to prepare for and to integrate this ceremony. Supporting practices

During the retreat we will bring in both ancient and modern tools to help you get to the root of whichever is holding you back in life. We will be diving into deep and compassionate self-inquiry sessions, meditation and bodywork. The latter will consist of gentle yin yoga, transformational breathwork and somatic movement. You may also expect a stunning hike in nature, passing through an ancient mystical pagan site linked to Norse mythology gods.

All these practices are to support your wellbeing in the best possible way and to help you awaken and relax the body, restore the nervous system and inspire mindfulness of the body-mind-heart connection. We will gently guide your system to peel off the layers of conditioning, beliefs, insecurities and coping mechanisms that keep you from feeling safe, loved, grounded, nourished and in peace. In other words: living the life you deserve, aligned with your true Self.

Besides all the deep inner work and play, there will also be some down-time for you to enjoy reading your book under a tree in the surrounding fields, go for a stroll, enjoy the wonderful surroundings, or just relax in your room.

We will be serving mouthwatering, healthy and hearty vegetarian and vegan meals and snacks, delicious warm drinks and vitamin-packed juices. A feast for the senses! Get ready to be pampered by our chefs.

Location

This edition of the Symbiosis retreat takes place in Wieringen, a former Wadden island and 9th-century Viking settlement in North Holland. The beautifully restored Wierschuur farm, with its impressive thatched roof, offers spacious and peaceful surroundings for our gathering. Inside its historic walls, you'll find multifunctional spaces and comfortable bedrooms with private bathrooms. The location, less than three kilometres from the Wadden Sea, immerses you in the authentic Dutch countryside, complete with dykes, cow fields, and windmills.

The Wierschuur is set on a peaceful 12,000 mΒ² property at the end of a quiet road continuing in a footpath. Surrounded by lush lawns, chestnut trees, a flowering meadow, and a spacious terrace overlooking the countryside, it allows you to completely unwind, linger and relax in nature.

All single, double and triple rooms are equipped with single box-spring beds, a desk and a private bathroom with rain shower. The beds are made up with crisp linen and towels are provided. There is a beautiful new ceremony space being built as you read this.

Robine, Jeroen and Andrea are passionate about creating safe spaces where real healing can take place. Jeroen and Andrea have been partners in life and in work for 17 years, and Robine is their dear friend. Together, they will make sure you will have an unforgettable stay filled with transformation and community. Manou Korst is a psychologist with a deep commitment to supporting personal growth and well-being. With a background in research and clinical practice, she has explored topics such as social anxiety, emotional dynamics, and addiction treatment. Her work emphasises the importance of nurturing environments and supportive relationships in fostering mental wellness. Combining scientific insight with a compassionate approach, Manou brings a grounded and holistic perspective to healing, making her an invaluable co-facilitator and guide at this edition of the Symbiosis retreat.

The above numbers are based on the time, energy and costs we invest to make these retreats possible. That being said, we strive to ensure that everyone who feels the call to join us has access through a partial bursary based on your application and circumstances (and on the number of sign-ups for the retreat). Symbiosis retreat is designed to bring you the peace and freedom you know is possible. Freedom from fear patterns and grief that no longer serve you.

Planning your travel & group calls

  • Group introduction video-call: Tuesday the 29th of July 2025 at 20:00 (8 pm) CET – hour long intro and round of questions.

  • Arrival & check-in: Wednesday the 6th of August 2025 at 15:00-16:00 (3-4 pm) (early check-in is not possible)*

  • Departure & check-out: Sunday the 10th of August 2025 at 11 am.

  • Group aftercare video-call 1: Monday the 18th of August at 20:00 (8 pm) CET – please keep the rest of this evening free.

  • Group aftercare video-call 2: Approximately 6 weeks after the retreat – date TBC.

How to get there: Located in the northern part of North-Holland, the Wierschuur is an hour’s drive from Amsterdam and Schiphol airport, and 2,5 hours by public transport. Find detailed directions here or just use the above Google Maps link and choose your mode of transport.

Flights to Schiphol Airport are not included. We recommend checking out skyscanner.com

Airport transfers to and from the venue are not included. For people arriving by public transport, we can arrange pickups from the bus station in Hippolytushoef (N99). Closer to date, you can share all your flight / public transport arrival times in a designated Whatsapp group that we will create, in order for you to have the opportunity to organise sharing rides, taxis or rental cars (both available at the airport) with other retreat participants.

*Please do not arrive earlier than 15:00 (3pm) as we will be very busy preparing the retreat space for you!

Stellar Folk’s Symbiosis retreats respect and honour where you are right now on your healing journey. These retreats are for people with or without any prior experience with psychedelics or medicine work. We aim to create a safe environment for each and everyone and are here to encourage and support you. Symbiosis retreats are a safe space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks. Retreat conditions

Prices are per person and include BTW/VAT. An additional 10% for administrative and service costs over the total is charged for companies who wish to receive an invoice.

We require a €300 deposit at sign up which is non-refundable. The remaining balance of your retreat price will be due 45 days before the retreat, on the 23rd of June. Payment plans are available; please contact us if you wish to discuss the options.

There is no refund after the balance is paid; therefore, please consider purchasing a travel cancellation insurance. In case of illness or force majeure, it is possible to give your space to a friend; just inform us at least 10 days before the retreat takes place so we have time for the intake procedure and for their own preparation.

If we cancel the retreat date for any reason, you may transfer your full retreat payment to another retreat, or you may request a refund of your payment amount (less the deposit, which can be applied to another retreat) to your original payment method.

Organisers are not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.

Organisers are not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to personal belongings; please consider purchasing travel insurance.

If you come alone, you will share your accommodation with a friend you haven’t met unless you book one of the single rooms.

  • Our personal favourite way to offer this experience is in a group setting as groups literally magnify healing; it is quite powerful!

    Each person’s discovery is an invitation for another person’s quantum leap through shared intention, exploration and most of all: shared vulnerability. Magic happens in this space.

    As Bessel van der Kolk says: "Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives."

    This is very much missing in modern individualistic society. Loneliness is an epidemic. What we offer here is a safe space where everyone’s vulnerabilities are welcome. This, combined with the Medicine, has the capacity to take everyone’s β€˜personality mask’ off, which forges deep, authentic connections fast. You will feel so seen and comfortable in a matter of hours upon arrival! Mark our words.

  • Yes, but of course there can be critical circumstances that need to be checked first. We carefully screen the health condition and medications of our participants to ensure that we can safely provide psilocybin.  Additionally, rest assured that we are highly trained, experienced and trauma-informed facilitators and guides. We are experienced with the medicine and able to create a safe space of support for all participants equally. Psilocybin is generally very safe when working with it responsibly. It is seen as the safest of all mind-altering substances. Way more than alcohol even!


    What dose will I take in my journeying? 

There are many factors that determine the exact amount of medicine you’ll take. Your full honesty/disclosure on your intake form (and the call we have afterwards) will help inform dosing. β€¨β€¨Generally speaking, a session is a β€œModerate Macro Dose,” which is typically 2g - 3.5g. This is an inward journey, with the intention for deep healing. All doses are customised to each participant.

    You can be confident that regardless of your experience (or no experience) with this plant medicine, you will be fully supported and guided in every aspect.

    Our retreats are meticulously crafted to accommodate individuals at various levels of experience in meditation and yoga, from total beginners to adept practitioners.

    We provide daily guided meditations, and two yoga sessions intended to gently awaken the body, restore the nervous system, and foster awareness of the body-mind-heart connection.

  • Retreats are really meant as a cocoon of safety and integration for the group of participants. We are on a week-long journey together and will go pretty deep. Bringing in folks from outside of the retreat setting can feel as a bit of a disruption of this safe space and is therefore not something we allow.
